| The 2012 WSRA Steam & Vintage Vehicle Rally was due to held on the Association's fields at Norton Fitzwarren on Sat. 4 and Sun. 5 August, the Saturday started well with bright sunshine but later heavy rain hit to such an extent that the the Sunday had to be cancelled. Luckily I was there first thing on the Saturday and got plenty of photos, so many in fact that I've spread them over several pages - this page has some general ones then there's Cars 1, Cars 2, Lorries, Military, Emergency Vehicles , Tractors and last but definitely not least Steam As you enter the first exhibits you see are the stationary engines. You then come to the railway exhibits which this year included newly arrived Inspection Saloon W80796W which was originally based at Taunton, last time I saw this was at Newton Abbot hauled by a BR Std 3 tank! Here though it was with Class 33 diesel D6566. Another view of the inspection saloon. The other side of the crossing Sleeping Car 9038 and Toplight BCK 6705 were on display along with a selection of heritage goods wagon. A closer view of the Sleeper and the Toplight - with a couple of cars. I only took a couple of photos of the motorcycles before "rain stopped play", this line up of Japanese bikes is mainly Kawasakis and Suzukis.
This line up is mostly British makes, the nearest one is a 1954 AJS 350. The heritage carriages and good train seen across the car field which was still filling up at the time. The rest of the day's photos are on Cars 1, Cars 2, Lorries, Military, Emergency Vehicles, Tractors and last but definitely not least Steam Visit our Travel Centre for train, tunnel and ferry times and tickets.
